You guys are definitely top notch ! one of the best crews we've ever worked with. We so appreciate good sound companies. We're tired of being butchered everywhere we play. Hey guys, I'm the sax player for THE HOLIDAYS. I just want to thank you all for doing such an excellent job for us at Cascade Park today. You guys are "on the ball"! I especially like when and if there is a problem after a great sound check, someone in the crew runs down the problem and fixes it ASAP....like you guys did. I'm not the spokesmen for THE HOLIDAYS but I believe I can speak for the band when I say you all are a top notch outfit. I've worked with sound companies all across these wonderful United States and I'd recommend you to anyone. Thank you and I hope 'the powers in charge' give you more opportunities to work with us. I wish you nothing but continued success!

Welcome to our latest newsletter and welcome our sound man for our festival - Dave Houlihan. Dave is the owner of "Dave's Live Sound". His equipment is so-o-o-o good, they he might even make yours truly sound good at the festival.(In case you haven't figured it out yet, I will be MC'ing this thing). I have to wonder a little bit about Dave though, I met him in person last evening for the first time and we talked about some items for our festival. Dave requested that the beer tent be set-up next to him. Does this mean that Dave's equipment makes the bands sound better ? or does the beer make the bands sound better from our perspectives ? I'll let all of you decide this for yourselves. I do know one thing, if the bands don't sound so great, it will not be because of the sound company. I want to comment about "Dave's Live Sound" sound company that we just had to do our sound for our festival, "The California Gold Rush Days".

When Dave was first recommended to me by Pete Povich of "The Four Townsmen", I was still a little hesitant about contracting him for our festival because of hearing about so many horror stories of bad(as in - not very good) sound companies. But after seeing and hearing the sound that came out of Dave's stuff at Canonsburg, PA's "Doo-Wop-A-Palooza", I felt much at ease.

To quote one of our performers who had arrived at our festival on the first night before his fellow performers. This is how the actual conversation went. Gary - the sax man for "Brother Jeep & The Mon Valley Express", was already at the festival site. He called Jeep who was on his way to the festival and told him, "Jeep, wait till you get here & see all of this good sh** that this sound guy has". Upon Jeep's arrival, Jeep also marveled at all of the fine equipment. And so did all of the other bands. These other bands made sure that they got Dave's card because they want to use him as well when they go to other places.

Dave was accommodating, very professional, reasonably priced, and a heck of a nice guy. He will work with you if you have any special requests for fill music or some other special arrangements that you would like fulfilled. I would whole heartenly recommend "Dave's Live Sound" for your next event.
